Black History Unit Day 4: SCIENCE!

Today, we round out the unit by celebrating African American Scientists! We learned all about George Washington Carver and Mae Jemison...and decided that a science-filled day was in order!

I decided to focus on tools that scientists use to help them do their jobs. We talked about what they are for and why scientists use them. Then, we set up science "experiements" all over the room and had fun learning by experimenting with tools.

Included in the unit are worksheets that are flexible enough to be used for any science experiment. I've included worksheets that allow your students to use maganfying glasses, microscopes, beakers, and balances. We loved honoring African American Scientists by immersing ourselves in the world of science!

Here are a few photos from some of the science stations:

The complete unit is posted on TpT and you can get yours here!

Grab yours and let's celebrate Black History in a way that honors and celebrates accomplishments!
